Came in on National Pie Day! Mistake!
This may not have been a good day at this location. It wasn't to busy in the dining room. However, we had about a 25 minute wait?! Clearly, they were understaffed and busy with many "take out" and call ahead pre placed pie orders "To Go"!
We were eventually called to be seated after many customers came and went that stood in the line ordering pies. Two managers were trying to alleviate the lines before patrons being seated. The hostess took us to a table directly near the front door. We preferred a booth, but most all hadn't been bused, so we had to go back again and wait another 5-8 minutes until the staff could get caught up on cleaning tables. We finally were seated in another area of the dining room. Noticed the floors were filthy and many tables still hadn't been serviced and or reset.
Our waiter was ok. Frazzled and somewhat overwhelmed at times, but pleasant. We ordered a Breakfast Burrito, Strawberry Banana Supreme French Toast Combo & a Southwestern Chicken Salad. Drinks and meals came fairly prompt. My daughter didn't get the sliced bananas on her meal and or waiter forget my onions on the salad. Those had the be brought out to us separately! Our server just about by this time had quite a few more tables to manage and I over heard him tell another party that he hadn't even finished his full training and the manager had him out on the floor! Considering that, he did his best under the circumstances and we provided him a decent tip! With that said, getting our Bill took a little long and by the time we left many tables still unattended ( not cleared off) by staff. Again, we had another wait at the front to pay our bill as still many pie orders being placed! Spent longer than we anticipated here with all the delays!
On the plus side the food was good. I enjoyed the salad and would have it again. Just not on a National Dessert Day! LOL -

It was just ok. I had chicken fried steak and it was a little salty and dry. The gravy was just ok. The mashed potatoes were good.
The service was excellent. And friendly. Over all it was what I would expect for a great spoon diner. As long as you know what to expect it was good. I would go back when I was in the mood for that kind of restaurant. The price was right. -

I ordered over hard eggs, please allow the picture to speak for itself.
Manager: But I did not charge you for it.
Me: That is good because I did not eat it.
Manager: But we gave you free pie.
Me: It was free pie Wednesday.
Manager: Nothing -

This place deserves a clean, simple, short, wonderful and friendly review just the same way the restaurant presents itself. Food is definitely not disappointing!

We stopped by here before going out for New Year's since we had a buy one get one free coupon. It's always so cheerful in here. I used to be an interior designer, so I always look at colors and architectural features. I love the combo of colors they utilize. Bright oranges on the booth seating with a brown fabric with blue and gold designs on the back. The lighting is also cool- brushed silver. Ok, back to the important stuff- food! We got the ultimate skillet with chorizo and the ultimate burger. I really wanted to taste the strawberry crepes so I ended up substituting it in for the pancakes for a little bit extra $. The burger came with 2 fried onion rings on top. Service was great and Robert the server helped me out in making a decision between the crepes and the French toast. Aaggggg I was so hungry! Still waiting for food, will write more after I eat.
Ok I'm back. Oh my God! The first few bites of the strawberry crapes were amazing I could hardly stop myself from eating all of it it came out before the rest of the food which was the skillet in the burger and I already had it have gone by the time the rest of the food came it was lovely. The inside cream was smooth creamy sweet on top they had strawberries and some whip cream. The skillet was also amazing it was basically country fried potatoes with chili on top to Friday eggs cheese and sour cream. I would never ever thought to put chili in the skillet but it was great! The burger was huuuuge! I could not get my mouff over it. Literally and seriously. Next I am getting the peanut butter pie at Roberts recommendation, and he's been accurate so far!
Ok I'm back. Wow on the peanut butter pie. It had crushed Reece's peanut butter cups. I even got a bit of ice cream on the side which ended up being the perfect side.
To wrap things up, the food was amazing and so was the service! I'll be back for sure :)
